ACP has conducted extensive national research, in collaboration with Ohio State University’s Center on Education and Training for Employment (CETE) focused on defining a baseline of skills required of BAS technicians. ACP’s research adheres to the prescriptive procedures set forth by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) guideline 17024 for industry certifications.
Completion of BAS certifications will define the skills standards for the industry for those just entering the field, while also providing a clear pathway for professional development for incumbent workers.
The effort also benefits employers by clearly establishing the skills expected of recent BAS graduates and seasoned professionals alike.
ACP is a 501 (c ) (3) non-profit tax exempt organization whose mission is to support educational initiatives to prepare skilled building automation systems professionals for 21st Century jobs
